Any 3D print hobbists?

I'm looking for thoughts on 3d printing parts for my watch.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, I have ended up losing the plastic washer on the faux release valve on my BR02.

I still have half the washer and was wondering if it would be worth looking into using it (if possible?!) to replicate the part using a 3d printer.

This watch is my Daily but it was on special with Toro when stock was being cleared out so I imagine the chances of getting a replacement part from a TD or finding a spare case in M2M will be impossible.

Cheers guys!

I could help you out - but a piece that small is hard to get rigid with a standard 1.75mm 3d-printer..

I'm wondering whether you might be able to find a small o-ring that would fit that gap...

Can you not ascertain the diameter and seek out a bit of plastic tubing ...& cut from that as many as your l'ill heart desires?

I was thinking about using a small rubber grommet as a temp meassure!

Cheers, I was wondering the actual capabilities of 3d printing, no point in spending £100+ if I would need to goto a place with a mega printer.

On a FDM (Filament, the most frequent one) printer this could be hard to reproduce if you're not used to work with a tiny nozzle and small parts.
With an SLA (Less frequent and more expensive) printer, it's a piece of cake to do such a piece.

You can also find a printing hub near you or a maker space that can do this for you : https://www.3dhubs.com/
Or you can request the service of 3D-printing company like : https://www.shapeways.com/

But for the last one it'll cost you more, especially if they have to design the piece for you.

I was thinking along the lines of the hub, a few printers in my local area seem to be promoting 3D printing! Thanks!!!

Until then I have put a bit of wire rubber insulation round it !

Either of the above will work, forget the printing.
