Rejected QC, Timeline?

Recommended Posts

PilotTime

Hi All,

I am new to the forum and just ordered my first replica ( Rolex Explorer II White Dial). I have placed my order with ChazingTime and was pleased with the quick responses and feedback. The first set of QC pictures (11/12/17) looked great except for a rehault crown engraving that was off center. I rejected the watch and was told on 11/14 that they would change the watch. On the 16th I followed up but have yet to hear back. Does anyone know the approximate or average time it takes from rejecting a QC to receiving updated QC pictures?

Thanks for all your Help!

You do realize that ChazingTime is not a TD on this forum correct?  As for the time, well it can vary but my experience has been anywhere from 2-5 days from the original.  If you rejected the first QC's and they are looking for something closer to whatever you may have had an issue with then it may take some time and patience will be the key.

Not a TD here, but they are next door.

You'll get your QCs once he's sourced your replacement watch, which may take a few days. Remember, most dealers do not hold stock...

@greg_r

This is for people with more experience here - I thought this:

QC Pics are NOT for:

Checking whether that rehaut is wokky

was not an allowable reason to reject QC from a TD?

Or is it more to the individual TD - will any of them actually say "no, sorry this is what you get."?

If all other watches from a previous batch then you can spot problems.

Say with PAM111 v3 a batch was made with wrong 2 in 12.

Some Uboat Chimera in a batch had Lyme missing on certain markers.

As well as factory defect, chipped unpainted bezels, scrapes watch face...

QC allowed you to avoid this.

What QC isn’t for is finding a perfect 1:1.

As they’re  not a TD here, all that outta date guff doesn’t really apply.

Think you are just misunderstanding... Wokky Vs wonky

A wokky rehaut us a rehaut shaped like a wok not a QC issue as they will all be like that from that batch, hence you should already be aware in the research you did before ordering meaning that is not a reason to reject.

In this case it is wonky ie misaligned, and misalignment is most definitely a quality control issue at the factory and therefore a fair rejection at the QC photo stage.

ToTo the op, you may well find the next photos you get are of the same watch just fixed as it could be easier for the dealer to repair than to swap if they don't already have stock, it's a pretty quick fix so maybe it's in a queue with his watchmaker

Well, thanks for posting the QC -- I'm going to keep my mouth shut but if that was your rejection, it's more than the rehaut there...

I feel really stupid. Of course! I mean after all we're talking about China! Have to watch out for anything Wok related being passed of with watch reps ;)
