Hello from the UK

Recommended Posts

Dan L

Afternoon guys,

Just registering here after my first replica purchase.

I have a genuine TAG f1 at present and quite fancy a Rolex hulk sub at some point so thought I would purchase a replica to get the general feel for it before investing.

I went for a noob v6 version in the end, it seems quite a well built watch.

The only issues being the bezel insert does not quite line up to top dead centre and more annoyingly the 6 and 9 hour markers are out of alignment.

Is there anyone here UK based that can mod the markers?

Many thanks for reading,

Dan

OP - the QC photos didn't show the misaligned markers or the bezel not lining up straight?

Were you given a QC photo of the watch face from straight on?

Thanks for the welcome Glaude,
I quite like the Tag, it's easy to wear as a daily with the rubber strap.

McGill, in some pictures you cannot see the misalignment but I will hold my hands up as iam new the clone watches.
I purchased via a Facebook group from a TD, he did a video of another V6 hulk and I just assumed my one would be the same- whoops!
100% my fault

You say TD and Facebook in the same breath?

That’s not how things work here, you get the pics of the ACTUAL watch,  not just some randoms from a Facebook D (notice the lack of capital letter T) ;)

why don’t you send it back to your Facebook guy?  Telling him it’s not as per the pics?

How much did you pay?

Oh, welcome to the forum :D

I'm not even sure that's a V6 TBH.

you live and learn I should have done more research.
I have messaged a picture of the issue but had no reply.
Looking at pictures online it seems a fair few have the same issues.
I paid £320 inc special delivery via a UK seller.
Is that ok or could I have had a v7 for that?

Put it on our M2M section and sell it for £320.00 and then start again.

I did find some places in the US etc that were cheaper when looking but from UK suppliers it was between £280-350 gbp.

I doubt it was a UK supplier - you seem to have been scammed by someone based in Asia who would know where you are from given your IP address.

What about the movement - is that as advertised? Take a short movie of it ticking and post it up if you can.

Just chalk it up as a lesson learnt now Dan, cut out the middle man and buy direct from our TD’s

Theres plenty of info here with regards to which version/factory to buy, all you gotta do it search for it or ask sensible questions. You’ll find most has been asked before so there’ll be a thread with the answers you need.

Good luck mate :D

Sorry when I say UK supplier I think he orders them in as took about 2 weeks to get to him.
I will take a movie of the movement though.
To be fair the guy was honest but I will double check it's a V6, it's just my fault in assuming all watches were the same quality.

Will take it on the chin and try and get the markers sorted

Did sort a movement video but not sure how to upload it
If I remember rightly I think it's a V6 as it had the weird below symbol on the casing protection, don't think the older ones had this

Whether it's what you ordered or not (The more experienced Rollie guys here will let you know) - just wanted to say I admire your attitude about it, welcome aboard. I'm putting Dan L in the #1-2 category easy (you'll find out what that means eventually if you stick around ;) )

Thank you, life is too short to get hung up over a watch
In talks with Rolie to get it sorted out in the new year.
After abit more research looking at the 1000/ 300 numerals and spacing it looks to be a V6 so that's good

Yeah he seems like a good chap, make mistakes (still to determine how bad) but don't make a fuss about it.
He's heading to a solid #1 on the T.N.S, time will tell !

Not sure what the category is but i hope it's a good thing!.

Here is the first watch that got me interested
Genuine U BOAT flight deck, had this for a while but in the end felt the 50mm case was abit in your face

Depending on your wrist size, but for sure 50mm is my max size.
Man, seeing windows XP in the background make this watch feel so old ;)

It was UBoat's that first got me into replica watches - a Flightdeck CAS - saw one in a shop window so scoured the internet and got one from a site called HoopBuy.

It was quartz and lasted me about 6 months before going into terminal decline.

Only just finished using that pc with XP although that picture was taken back in 06 or 07 I think, watch was around £1600 at the time from Jura watches.
Would be great if U BOAT did some smaller case sizes but same simple designs.

Still researching the hulk, fairly sure it's a V6 now but seems to have a V7 bracelet/ clasp?
