Steph Deux 0 Posted December 11, 2017 (edited) Hey All, Went to do some research on an Omega and I was simply amazed at the number of choices, so I thought I would ask the experts. These gens are what I found: https://www.omegawatches.com/watch-omega-seamaster-planet-ocean-600m-omega-co-axial-gmt-43-5-mm-23230442203001/ https://www.omegawatches.com/watch-omega-seamaster-planet-ocean-600m-omega-co-axial-master-chronometer-chronograph-45-5-mm-21533465103001/ https://www.omegawatches.com/watch-omega-seamaster-planet-ocean-600m-omega-co-axial-master-chronometer-43-5-mm-21530442103001/ Do you guys have opinions on the available, similar reps? There are lots out there, and there may be older/previous reps that are available. It seems that I am looking for a rep Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600m but these my help narrow the field: Obviously blue face, not dark blue Chronograph optional Must have He valve Must have a transparent case back Noob quality No obvious tells, e.g., mistakes, missing type, wrong logos, misaligned pearls, wrong typeface, etc. Rotating bezel Larger is better than smaller The band can be leather or steel, plastic is fine as long as there are available steel or leather options. I know the reps aren't heirlooms, but I would like something of high enough quality that I need not explain anything to a jeweler if/when it needs repairs. He may open it up and figure it out, but I wouldn't want him, or anyone else, to see that it is a rep at first glance. Any favourites that you like out there? Thoughts on particular reps? We all know what reading the description at the website is worth, so I thought I would reach out to the experts for the inside scoop. Thank you!! Azure 0 Posted December 11, 2017 Dude. Literally go check with any of the trusted dealers...they all carry some version of the 600M PO. GMT, Chrono, 3 hand, etc.
Azure 0 Posted December 11, 2017 Ok, so I normally wouldnt do this, because you should be able to research this on your own. EASILY. But here is a cursory search on just one of our TD's websites for pretty much every watch you just mentioned. 3 Hand - 42mm: http://www.tb-688.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=37_128_129&product_id=2175 3 Hand - 45mm: http://www.tb-688.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=37_128_129&product_id=1483 Chrono on strap: http://www.tb-688.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=37_128_129&product_id=1649 Chrono on bracelet: http://www.tb-688.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=37_128_129&product_id=2235 GMT Goodplanet: http://www.tb-688.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=37_128_129&product_id=1034
Azure 0 Posted December 11, 2017 But please do some research on your own to see which is best for you. Different factories have different "tells" and varying degrees of quality for each watch. So use that search button!
Steph Deux 0 Posted December 11, 2017 Hey Azure, Thanks for the heads up, I wasn't really clear in my post above, I'm sorry. I found some of the watches you mentioned (and thank you!). I wasn't asking where to find the reps, I was asking for personal opinions or recommendations among the reps. "This watch X is the most accurate Omega made", or "I got this one six months ago and love it," or whatever. That sort of thing. I can read TB's or Kuvarsit's pitches all day long. They all seem to thing that their watch is amazing. But what YOU guys think is the important part. Thanks again for taking the time, Azure. I appreciate it!
