It's always something they got from someone/somewhere else. That way they have plausible deniability if called out.

Yeah that plausible deniability thing...  I think it's a psychological tool for someone to justify it, but it doesn't work in the real world when you're in cuffs in an interrogation room.  The cops don't care if you claim that it was your grandpa's.  Makes no difference to them.  They just want the collar and conviction.  #revenue   As far as they are concerned, everything you tell them is a lie unless you can prove otherwise.  And it doesn't make a difference to them if it WAS your grandpa's... you're the one selling it as a genuine Rolex and it's a replica.   Funny how a lot of these replicas being sold as gen were passed down from probably deceased family members who can't cofirm or deny the validity of your story. smh  I love the word "wanker" lol btw

I completely agree, which is why I used the term called out versus caught or turned in. That Folex was probably purchased by the seller who now wants to make a few grand scamming EBay buyers. Problem is that police rarely seem to get involved if someone lists a fake. They only come into play after someone buys the fake and learns it's counterfeit through official means like getting it checked at the AD.

The "STEBLHOX" on the bracelot?

I'm the first to admit that I'm still early in the rep learning curve here, but is that a thing?

I used the plausible deniability thing above. That has always rang alarm bells with me too. I wonder if they have the cahoonas to leave the listing up
