RussP 22,107 Posted February 17, 2018 I love the Bulova Super Seville look. The classic Rolex appearance for a fraction of the price with a decent ETA movement (2834-2) that keeps accurate time and with a brilliant power reserve. I've got 4 of them in various with varying bezel and hour marker combinations.
JimboJames1972 0 Posted February 17, 2018 This was my “Gen” wrist wear for most of today, picture taken while walking the dog through the local woods... It’s my own home-build, I hope it qualifies as a Gen. 1601-type case and hand set via eBay, sterile Explorer dial and SW220 movement. Homemade oil-tan leather strap too. RussP 22,107 Posted February 18, 2018 Couldn't afford the ref.3180 of 1960 or the USD $17,200 SBGW252 re-issue, so I got this one instead. Close enough, in my opinion: Read more about it here: http://watchesbysjx.com/2017/04/hands-on-with-the-grand-seiko-sbgw251-sbgw2512-sbgw253-reissue-of-1960s-ref-3180.html
JimboJames1972 0 Posted February 18, 2018 Haven’t quite decided today (still waiting for coffee#2 to kick in), but it will probably be this one Tudor Prince Oyster Date, 34mm, 1983. I’ve gone back to this strap, homemade 2.5mm bridle tan with cream stitching. In the light it has this wonderful tiger-eye effect :-)

Khronos 1,339 Posted February 19, 2018 Thanks It's the one with the least dust on the strap, it's impossible to keep it dust free. Plus the phone camera sees things that are invisible to the eye, it's magic I tell you.. I'll take some pics of ladies on the street today, maybe there will be some naked ones showing in the pics too..or does it only work with rubber straps.. Khronos 1,339 Posted February 19, 2018 @abzack This was the brand that Edmund P. Hillary had on his wrist on Everest, right? And not the Explorer...

Give the special filter another try, on the ladies of course. Look forward to seeing the results shortly.
Khronos 1,339 Posted February 19, 2018 I just picked up my King Seiko at my watchsmiths' 15 minutes ago, where it has spent the last 5 months.. I never thought that sourcing parts for these is so difficult. And not cheap either..Anyway, this is how it looks after sticking 350€ in it after I bought it.
