GenTLe 1,501 Posted February 21, 2018 The screw on the rotor was indeed loose. Three turns loose to be precise. Ah, I understood you checked it already. Then good to go

I had literally just gotten the back off, and tapped the rotor and found it loose. At the time of posting the pics I hadn't checked the screw yet.

What he meant was you already opened the caseback, checked the rotor, tightened the screw ... meaning you're no longer needed help. Get with the program will you !?! ... and it's King Luxu ... ! Sigh. When I posted those pictures, all I had done was remove the back and tapped the rotor and found it rocked on the screw. I wasn't going to touch anything, I was going to wait an see if anyone saw anything I hadn't. And then I said fuck it and tightened it anyway. So I guess yes, by the time he posted, I had already said fuck it.

Glaude 1,615 Posted February 21, 2018 It's a shame that you have to get a new movement for this Daytona, if only two or three turns of the screw could have resolved your issue... shame ! All Hail King Luxu

Get with the program will you !?! ... and it's King Luxu ... !What I meant was that my suggestion to replace the rotor was because I thought he already checked the most obvious thing like the rotor screw if the screw is tight and the rotor still has vertical play then the bearing is gone and quickest option is to replace the whole rotor (changing the be is ok but you need special tools for that). You should NOT pay any attention to us bastards .... ! None of what we said made any sense ... to anyone else. (BTW ... He did tighten the rotor screw ... so it works now ... I guess)
Junior88 387 Posted February 22, 2018 @GenTLe I understood what you meant, and I hadn't checked the screw yet. Yes, it was the most obvious thing but I know NOTHING about these types of watches, yet. I appreciated your input greatly. As for you other two, @Glaude, and @Luxuracer , you're savages. Just savages.

narikaa 129 Posted February 22, 2018 Screw backed out a bit (allows rotor to 'flap' and connect with case back) No new movement needed Maybe a new camera Buy yourself two pairs of commercial rubber gloves (now you can palm heel the case back on and off) By a dispenser of 'personal' lube (now you can grant yourself a celebratory 'Jodrell' with the other pair of gloves)
