Dendo 93 Posted March 4, 2018 Hi guys - not a comprehensive review but I went to the PP museum in Geneva yesterday and had a couple of surprises. The rep nautilus looks so like the real thing (no - I was wearing a rep AP). The perpetual watches have amazing mechanical means of dealing with leap years etc etc. They have a large number of watches with painted dials - reminded me of DCs efforts - on the right track mate! They made a watch in the 20's with a transparent face, back and movement block. The basic elements of the movements, escapement, keyless, pallets, jewels, balance wheels are all pretty generic. They use large dial engraving machines that scale reduce a large 'master' carved dial to a much smaller one, the gears and mechanisms are amazing. PP made a small quartz based clock in 1957. The number of gold watches, jewels etc etc - this place is worth megamillions - I hope it is ensured....... Well worth a visit.
