jking92 5 Posted March 29, 2018 So I picked this up from a TD here who I shall not name, the stem snapped first time setting, which my watchmaker informed me was due to a misaligned movement, no big deal I thought, I’ll contact them and just ask for a new one to be sent out (even if I had to pay for it) TD made excuse after excuse and then said it was going to be very hard to find... Contacted the wonderful Mary whom I had not long ago bought a Sub from, she replied the same day saying she could get it, within a few days she had sent me a pic of a new crown and stem and it was on its way, arrived EMS about a week later, off to the watchmaker and promptly fixed, he didn’t even charge me, little bit of Northern Territory hospitality. The watch has a good solid feel to it, though the light weight due to being made of titanium takes a little getting used to. Winds very smoothly and sweeps very nicely, the roulette datewheel is just awesome and really gives you something (small) to look forward to when it changes. Bezel has a nice solid click though could be a little tighter. The bracelet has a fully functioning spring loaded divers extension which I feel is just some great attention to detail from the maker. Dial and text to me look perfect, love the texturing and the off white markers give it that vintage feel without being too much. The only let down, lume on takes a fair bit to charge up and lasts only a few minutes. Onto the pics. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
BlackjackWQ 32 Posted March 29, 2018 Nice pics, Mary really does seem to be a top notch TD. Nice to see another aviation enthusiast from Australia here!
Theviking 196 Posted March 29, 2018 Very nice, would you consider a relume? Would you do it yourself?

Chixisigma 461 Posted March 29, 2018 That's a bit nice, pal! Congrats Incidentally, I'd be keen for a few contacts in Aus too. Is there a Trusted watchsmith, for example??
k4jun 251 Posted March 29, 2018 @jking92 the first reps had a problem with a lume, different colour on the bezel and different on the dial. As per you photo the lume looks like the same colour, can you confirm? Thanks

Only for fun but I've had a bit of a change of heart with my career lately and I'm due to be down Canberra for an Officer Selection with the RAAF. Failing that I think I'll likely start working towards my ATPL and all relevant certs to start flying properly as a career.
