Akira 0 Posted December 19, 2011 Looks excellent Kenny. I know the plexi is around $50-$70, but is the gen insert really affordable? Mhm... I'd might need a Speedmaster soon.

KeNnY 29 Posted December 19, 2011 As I said elsewhere.... .........great work mate! THank you Derek Kenny...where was the original watch from? I am beginning to dream that maybe I could have one like this too.... Ofcourse not without your very valuable help :=) thanks mate, it came from the Roberts auction site, for 220USD. It was the double sapphire version, I do not know if it is the latest version. Then PM me mate Looks excellent Kenny. I know the plexi is around $50-$70, but is the gen insert really affordable? Mhm... I'd might need a Speedmaster soon. Thanks Akira Buy it now price for the gen insert was 220USD, as I have find. I have won mine for 65USD (bids). Came with the Omega original packaging. The aftermarket that from pictures looked really well, cost around 40USD. The old insert was damaged, but from the top, is hard to notice difference, but the gen insert is like more thicker plate of metal, also it is 1mm wider then the rep one. Also there are different bezel inserts for each version of speedmaster, I do not know if this one is really accurate for the wider subdials, so if you would want to ahve it more gen, find info what type of the bezel insert was used for kind of version of the watch. there are differences with the TACHYMETRE sign mostly. Serious skills Kenny , love it!!! HD's generosity is outstanding Thank you Delaforce ! And yes without HD, this would not be possible Good work my friend. Thank you my friend, glad you like it ! sharkey_lsu 0 Posted January 16, 2014 AWESOME JOB ON THE MODS KENNY!! I have a few questions for you. I want to purchase a plexi and have my local watch guy install it as well as freeze the subdial and re-lume. Is the crystal shown in the pic (item 063PW5139) the only one that will fit our reps? I guess I am basically asking what genuine omega model # or #'s would have parts that are interchangeable with our rep watches? Also, something that I would really like to add is some part of the movement that would have omega insignia engraved so the movement doesnt look so generic. Is this even possible? Would a gen bridge fit the movement in our reps? Perhaps the pre-moon bridge that was actually U-shaped similar to a rep movement.
