BentleySharp 0 Posted September 20, 2014 I've decided that I'm going to do this build. Different dial and maybe the domed bezel instead of the fluted bezel, but essentially the same build. The prices I'm seeing are a little more expensive than what is listed here. I'm excited about it. Once I buy the first round of parts I'll start a new thread where the project can be detailed and periodically updated. Should be a lot of fun

Being as I just finished a Genken 16013 Datejust build, I'd love to see someone actually build this watch for that stated budget. I know this is a bit out of date, but just the case/caseback & dial can easily eat up most of that budget. If you're doing a two-tone Datejust like I did, $50 definitely won't get you an 18k bezel either. And unless you're going to put it together yourself (which I didn't), you're going to be paying for someone else's time to assemble and regulate the watch for you. There's some good information here, but this thread should be overhauled and updated. For a $650 Franken DJ, rafflesdials.com is the only way I can see getting it done. You can get 90% of the watch from there, then pop over to eBay for a gen dial and an 2824/2836 movement.
