Planning to lume

Recommended Posts

Hey there guys.

Interested in some thoughts on starting off...have looked at a few different posts in forums, but I thought I'd pick the brains of this forum, for some thoughts, specifically on glowinc.

1. Ultra Green V10 - how much is a quarter ounce? (Metric here...nfi on imperial measurements)

(suspecting it's better to buy by the ounce).

2. What to mix with?

Watch lume formula? Water based forumula?

Sovent based formula?

Appreciate some feedback on this...I imagine that the base is just as important as the lume powder.

3. Granule size.

Better to continue to grind?

I have a feeling that the finer the powder, the better....

Thanks in advance guys...

1. Quarter ounce should be plenty but, if you can easily afford it then get an ounce.

2. Water based matt clear, eg Tamiya model paint. I have used medium thickness artist base too, it helps suspend the lume grains.

3. finer the easier to apply but, less brightness.

Water based is bad for the GlowInc stuff because it causes the lume to break down and reduces brightness. I believe this is covered in the documentation on GlowInc's site.
