sconehead 5 Posted January 2, 2010 As promised a pictorial tuto of my 917 rebuild that I modded the mainplate for in order to fit a 44mm case. I didn't include the pics of oiling the movement as there are quite enough already. Suffice to say if you use the 6497 oiling method along with the same grades of oil (found here, http://www.eta.ch/swisslab/6497/6947.html) you won't go far wrong... NB* left hand thread... I've only done this as a reference for others as this movement is being used more and more for custom builds in the community and there is precious little info out there... 10:10 Watch Repair 1 Posted January 3, 2010 Great to see a step by step assembly. I have never figured out how to photograph while concentrating that much on assembly though.

sconehead 5 Posted January 3, 2010 Great to see a step by step assembly. I have never figured out how to photograph while concentrating that much on assembly though. I just get the screw/piece in place first, then put the tweezers/driver in position and do a one handed snap... I might do a camcorder jobby on a Molnija soon...
