Bigssa 0 Posted February 26, 2013 So I emailed on of our more popular TDs to see if they can get me one of the new ceramic POs that some of you already have and are available on another TDs site. I got a quick response that the "factory does not sell them yet". So I must say that I was a bit confused because I have always read that pretty much all the TDs get the watches from the same factories and that the TDs are able to get the same watches that others can get. I also want to clarify that this is not a criticism of any TD. I was simply trying to order from someone that I have never ordered from before to try out a different customer experience. And I was just wondering how and where the TDs get watches from. Do they not have access to the same factories? Do they make deals with specific factories to only sell their watches? I am really unfamiliar with how this actually works and simply want to learn more.

Luthier 1 Posted February 26, 2013 Here's a dealer, who send a huge amount of cash every month to the factories, buying watches, and here's an independent dealers, who buy just a few watches every time people ask. Now... factory started a new model. Guess, who will get first sales?

Bigssa 0 Posted February 26, 2013 Just as an update. I got a follow up email from the TD that said that the watch I was looking for will be available for them to get in early March, which makes a lot of sense because that's about a month after the watch actually came out.
