speedzmaster 0 Posted April 14, 2010 (edited) This is the Tudor dial I have and what it would look like on a DW case. I copy-pasted a Tudor dial on DW cases. Just wondering what everybody else thinks? The date mag is slightly greater since the Tudor rehaut is so deep. This would be lessened on the DW case, if a cyclops was added. Luthier 1 Posted April 14, 2010 I personally like it very much. Clean and classy look.
KBH 7 Posted April 14, 2010 It' a beauty, but is it a fantasy watch or is there a gen like that? Also you better make sure the dial fits the case before you get too far along.
speedzmaster 0 Posted April 15, 2010 (edited) Total fantasy watch, since I'd be using a vintage Daytona case with a Tudor dial. A Daytona case from a 16520 would be closer to the gen Tudor, since the gen Tudor has crown guards. I just like the look of the vintage case better, plus the option of having a black bezel. Only thing I'm not sure about is whether a cyclops could be added to the vintage Daytona crystal. The crystal may be too domed/curved for one. SilverG 0 Posted April 15, 2010 That looks great pal. I've had a project in mind for some time now. I want to buy a Daytona secs@9 rep case/crystal/bracelet, A7750 and a gen Tudor dial and build a Tudor Chrono. I don't feel so comfortable wearing a daytona rep for obvious reasons, and would probably go the route of the Tudor idea. The only problem is.. I got no $$$$$. Please do keep us updated on this. Looks like a great idea
