Del 4,455 Posted April 13, 2013 Did you try it with the lights on? Sorry, it's just that the pics are a bit dull - you need more light.
SSTEEL 0 Posted April 13, 2013 (edited) Looking good, you could do with more powerful lights though. I plan on using two high power halogen lights, one each side rather than one from above. EDIT Del beat me to the punch lol Edited April 13, 2013 by SSTEEL
parisianshut 0 Posted April 13, 2013 Under exposed!
solrac 0 Posted April 13, 2013 can you show us the set up? might be able to offer some tips. also, one quick fix, depending on your camera - is to shoot in raw and then correct the exposure in software later.
TheInthusiest 0 Posted April 13, 2013 A tad dark. details will show much nicer that way!

Guyute 0 Posted April 13, 2013 Just up the aperture to let more light in and use a tripod and you'll have some great shots.
vvilly69 0 Posted April 13, 2013 It definitely looks like a nice box......................I'm sure you can tweak the light part pretty easily. Don't lose heart, just turn the lights up a bit, post new pictures and everyone's comments will look odd

gmchris 68 Posted April 13, 2013 Reality check time . . . To be fair, these are good shots except for the low light level, the focus is good, the background is plain, nothing is bleached or pitch black . We get spoilt on RWG with top notch pics from members and dealers every day- just have a look at some of the crap blurry efforts on ebay taken by the average Joe to see how the rest other world usually sees watches. Reality check over thank you.
yawn 122 Posted April 17, 2013 Just adjust the white balance on your camera: Wow thanks for editing em for me. More watches coming up: Frankenstein built ploprof and VCO Gen jlc master world geo and Monaco 917 tribute limited edition Resume hublot 4000m and pp Natalius with gen strap

HeavyKrush 16 Posted April 17, 2013 Nice start Y. Lighting looks a bit directional and not very diffused. Could we see a pic of the box itself?
TRANSPORTER 1 Posted April 17, 2013 Nice effort mate, I'm experimenting myself, here's the first picture, cheap quartz ok Here's another in the light box And here's the light box, took 15 mins to make and cost nothing, all photos taken with iPhone with basic camera
LightGeek 25 Posted April 17, 2013 Good stuff! Next step to adjust your light source and/or correct in post so we can see their faces Edited from my phone using Snapseed.
callsign21a 0 Posted April 17, 2013 One reason why I have stopped posting pics..........mine are crap with a CAPITAL K.......have read DEL's and other members HOW TOO but don't understand the lingo and have only a point and shoot.
TRANSPORTER 1 Posted April 17, 2013 Don't worry mate, I bought a £25.00 magnifying lamp from argos and just shoved that above the top hole, I'm going to put a lamp against a side hole, then angle the watch slightly to catch both lights and try that, all my shots are with the iPhone 4 camera, so nothing special. The joys of digital is seeing your picture straight away and bring able to (a) use software to enhance it or (b) delete it and take another, I love it, but I still use a proper 35mm SLR for my outdoor coastal photography though alongside my iPhone

Then the FREE Snapseed app is your friend. I've gotten to the point I Eye-Fi my DSLR jpgs to iPhone for immediate light process and upload. The NEFs (raws) are kept for archival only or if I really messed up the white balance
