mario24601 0 Posted June 20, 2013 Hi All: I just received my latest rep, I ordered from MR: Rolex Submariner No Date Noob, Asian ETA 2836-2 movement. Initial impressions: Nice quality, very solid and nice weight. Size, I think 41mm, does not wear small in my opinion. I think the size is just right for an everyday type watch. The pearl seems ok to my untrained eye…never had a gen so not sure how it compares but I think looks centered…at least it does to me. SS band is comfortable, I did use Rock n Roll cleaner/lube right away so its smooth and does not make any noise…not that I noticed any before cleaning it. Watch was packaged very well and arrived exactly one week after shipping. Was my second from MR this year and I’m sure not my last. Cons?: I really don’t know the Rolex brand that well, bought this one on a impulse but I don’t see any obvious issues with it…but I’m sure those familiar will be more perceptive than I am. Overall I am happy with the purchase. Attached are few quick pictures I took. Any opinions? Also, the bezel is ceramic – suppose to be black but looks more like mirror chrome to me…is this normal for ceramic bezels? -M

radekglaz 0 Posted June 21, 2013 Nice watch but with a lot of flaws: - incorrect CG shape - incorrect case shape, it's from GMT - incorrect indexes on the dial - fat hour hand RG
mario24601 0 Posted June 22, 2013 Nice watch but with a lot of flaws: - incorrect CG shape - incorrect case shape, it's from GMT - incorrect indexes on the dial - fat hour hand RG Wow, didnt know about all of these! Thanks for info...still not bad for $170 I think...a good first Rolex rep. Just out of curiosity, what is the BEST rep for Rolex Sub without a date or at least without a cyclops? And price? radekglaz 0 Posted June 24, 2013 I agree. BP Sub is the best offer for the price. The most important is the correct case shape with correct CG. RG
Aforce 0 Posted June 25, 2013 I agree. BP Sub is the best offer for the price. The most important is the correct case shape with correct CG. RG Apologies, im new to all this. Would it be possible for someone to link to the BP Sub to purchase it? I really like the one in the OP but if i can get a better one for a similar price that would be great! Thanks
J!m 289 Posted June 26, 2013 Im not all that new and I don't know who BP is either... Check page one for the trusted dealer list. You will find your new watch there for sure.
rocky4691 0 Posted June 26, 2013 Still a very nice looking watch , just wear it proudly and enjoy your new purchase. Few if any will notice the flaws unless you happen to run into one of the very knowledgeable members from a forum like this or a gen Rolex owner. If you bought it just to have a great looking watch enjoy it until you learn more about the next watch of your choice and then come here and read, read and read some more until you know exactly what you want then check with your TD of choice and let him take care of the small stuff. After that look on here for one of the excellent moders to finish it up to perfection. Very nice pictures by the way.i

Aforce 0 Posted June 26, 2013 Im not all that new and I don't know who BP is either... Check page one for the trusted dealer list. You will find your new watch there for sure. Thanks. Having done a bit more research i think BP may refer to ones from the BP factory as opposed to Noob. I've got a similar budget to the OP so think im going to go for the following (BP) http://www.p-cls.com/rlss00108-116600-asian-p-13554.html

upv 0 Posted June 30, 2013 I've bought this very same watch from MR a few months ago and still very pleased with it. MR tested it wr 5 Atm, and I have been swimming and snorkling with it during my last vacation without any problems. Enjoy your watch!
