urban12572 104 Posted August 19, 2013 Hi All, Great site, could anyone suggest any rep dive watches that are truly waterproof available from the TD's or is this only something that can be done aftermarket? Cheers Paul

greg_r 79 Posted August 19, 2013 non-chrono watches may well be waterproof out of the box - but equally they may need the seals greasing. Don't trust the dealers' waterproofing services - get it tested before taking it near water. Places like Timpson's may well be willing to test and, if necessary, waterproof a watch. Note that even if waterproof, any watch (rep or gen) will need re-testing fairly regularly.
urban12572 104 Posted August 19, 2013 I've looked around and have seen that some dealers state 'waterproof' - just wondered how much faith to put in the claim. Thanks guys

urban12572 104 Posted August 19, 2013 Is it just me or does having most of the TD's prices in $ make me feel like i'm getting a bargain by paying in £......! Psychologically winning! Bank account in danger!
