I have the blue HBB v.6 maker with SW200, and to be quite honest: I think I grossly overpaid for what I got and would not do it again - hence now ordering the 2838 Lite version (with a grey dial)...

If I were to spend the same amount of money again, i would rather go with 3xLite: One in each colour...

Thanks for your honest advice, i read the lite is not bad at all only the blue dial color is off.

Personaly i like the asian 2824 $268 one i know its has flaws compared to the gen but i also like the closed case back.

I don't know how good/bad the Lite version is, but that is exactly what I want to compare with the SW200. On the QCs (from MR) the Lite looks everybit as impressive as my USD500+ version. And the rotor actually looks better, as it has a real engraving instead of the bloody logo-sticker!

People told me the closed caseback was no longer available, but Ryan could source them.

$268 plus shipping.

Is in transit now.

That looks really sweet - even the dial, Sard.

Only the thin lume-stripes on the hands springs to my eye...

And the gap between the bezel and datewheel.... I think the lite 2638 would be the best choice here quality/price-wise.

:)

Actualy this more a mishmash of the former 3700 and current 5711

Right - don't know how I missed that? I have been staring myself blind on Naughty reps lately...:-)

Can't wait to get the grey Lite in for a comparison with my blue SW200 - maybe some of the parts may even be compatible for a swap...

I knew the flaws before ordering this one guys :)

And the Lite version blue was no option because the blue of that dial is very bad color.

I second that and ordered the grey dial for the same reason.

And just maybe the blue dial from my SW-200 can be swapped over...?

You paid how much and what now?!?

I hope this has got more than an A4813 inside, it looks like that version but I paid about $100 less when I bought mine!!

Got it from WI. Just read Sard's earlier post though, his must be the Asian 2824 version, didn't realise there was a closed caseback version with a high beat movement!! I like it, as he says it is a mix of 3711 and 5711, in fact the dial itself aside from the DW has a more gen like texture!!

The closed caseback is very appealing for obvious reasons (same goes for the AP Jumbo), although at the cost of a more incorrect dial (same goes for the AP Jumbo).

I think I'm slowly migrating away from 'absolutely accuracy' in favour of 'feel' - at least I'm at a point where I like to contrast and compare different versions of the same watch.

- e.g. the v6 Naughty @ 500+ is just taking the piss as an overall value proposition, once I had it on my wrist....

- so there was a very good reason for the price diff after-all.

look at the markers close. there is much more white showing on the markers in the second pic

look at the "2" on the date font as well

Thanks, think date the number 2 looks better on the sw200 one.

How much white on markers i am not convinced the sw200 is better?

Toro pic with sw200 left gen right

Just noticed this, I'm pretty certain that it's the other way round, looking at the dial pattern and end links I think the gen is the one on the left!!!

That gen watch Toro used think was not the 5711 or one with another dial.

This is the dial i see on all the gens the ribbons are just like the rep.

The right one is the gen on the Toro pics good to see on difference of bracelet pattern

I also find amusing what dealers state.

I tried to help a member to id his qc pics was it V3 or HBB V6

He contacted the dealer and the answer:

Hi there, Dealer confirmed that V3 on his website is the one from HBB V6 factory.
