kloshar 0 Posted July 8, 2010 Hi, what do you think about black steel watches? Do you like them? I primary refer to Rolex Pro Hunter style and similar. Would you recommend it to someone as his main watch? Does it look ok on a younger man's wrist? I'm thinking about getting one but I'm not sure how will it look. It might be superb or dissapointing. What do you thik - for a 22 years young man - is it better to choose classic steel or black steel watch?? regards
AllergyDoc 40 Posted July 8, 2010 I don't like them. But I'm over 50.
fakemaster 0 Posted July 8, 2010 (edited) Such enthusiastic questions! I thought you were 'done with this'? Being the black watch guy I can tell you this. They are an extension of your image. When used as a part of a dress theme they are exceptional looking. Don't mix the trim metals. Make sure your cufflinks match. Example. A nice pair of jeweled cufflinks that match a tie, triimmed in black will pull the outfit together. Black hardware on your belt or braces also unify the theme. Remember the watch does not make the man, the man makes the watch. Edited July 8, 2010 by fakemaster
Member X 91 Posted July 8, 2010 If you want black, Sinn UBlack is what you want Should be out from the rep factories soon!!
Ska 11 Posted July 8, 2010 + 1 Member X Can't wait for that!! Also IMO the pro hunter is a great looking watch - Only practical thing is that the PVD coated steel can scratch so perhaps not best as your "main watch" if by that you mean "Daily Beater" For sheer coolness you can't beat them though. Eiderdaus 0 Posted July 8, 2010 Hi, fyi here a few (bad) pics for you RLX Pro Hunter GMTII MKII [/img] [/img] [/img] [/img] from China, ETA 2836-2, PVD coated. Both Nato strap and regular bracelet. What I think: The model was sold as Mititary Stealth Version. But the Gen has fixed lugs as every military Rolex. The crystal is not AR coated as it has to be in the military stealth version. The gen is DLC coated instead of PVD which makes it more resistant to scratches. The gen got Anti reflective Stealth Matt Black Coating on entire Watch the rep got the shiny bracelet and shiny case sides It got the number 072 at the case back unfortunately the Issue Numbers are from 901-1000 for MKII and for the stealth version from 601-700 . In total a nice watch but far from being accurate to the gen. hope that helps p.s.: if I were you I would not buy a rep from project X since the dial has the complete wrong project x logo on it... AustinTech 0 Posted July 8, 2010 The Sinn Ublack will still have shitty rep AR - making it look like it has a blue dial.

SubFrog 0 Posted July 9, 2010 My favorite quote about black watches: Very Darth Vaderish! I love my PAM 005 PVD Logo. Get lots of "cool" comments on it all the time. But, I know you're talking more about Rolex style. I'm not 50 yet.
