Heisenberg 0 Posted November 5, 2012 Is it worth updating the Lemania bit to say its speed is 21,600 vph? I didn't know for sure so I asked in another thread: http://www.rwg.bz/board/index.php?showtopic=37444
dejavu157 0 Posted December 1, 2012 I am confused guys, sorry for being a noob. I am here reading to learn though. "It is wise not to try and set the date with the hands anywhere near the date change position as that can cause damage - whatever the movement. Best advice is to wind the hands past midnight and on to around 6am, then use the quick-set function to change the date." Does this mean i wind the watch to midnight where the date changes to the next day and then wind some more till its 6. Then am i able to change the date safely? Only avoid changing between 8 and 4 with A7750 (normally chronograph watches) as a general rule. Yes..........set the time to 6 and then change the date. Most other movements are fine to change anytime....as far as I know.
Abagnale 0 Posted December 1, 2012 Only avoid changing between 8 and 4 with A7750 (normally chronograph watches) as a general rule. btw: same rule applies to genuine valjoux 7750. cheers

Henry J. Miller 0 Posted December 12, 2012 (edited) Thanks for this sticky - it really really helps...a lot. In terms of longevity and reliability of the watch and movement, I would like to re-ask Rudly_1's questions. (maybe they were answered via PM..if so...pardon) In reference to the above wants, which would be the wiser choice - The "ASIAN ETA 2836-2 Automatic Movement, 25J, 28800bph (which by all accounts sounds fine) or for an extra $50 the SWISS ETA 2836-2 Automatic Movement, 25J, 28800bph.." Especially the "a" question - If the Swiss ETA 2836-2 choice is made, is it likely that that is what will be received? In dealing with a Trusted Dealer, of course. Thanks all for your expertise. One of the RWG trusted dealers offers an option on a watch with either the ASIAN ETA 2836-2 Automatic Movement, 25J, 28800bph (which by all accounts sounds fine) or for an extra $50 the SWISS ETA 2836-2 Automatic Movement, 25J, 28800bph.... Referring to your earlier Sticky (great stuff by the way) is this SWISS option: a. is it likely to be a genuine SWISS ETA movement? b. worth the extra $50? Cheers in advance Edited December 12, 2012 by Henry J. Miller
