Hello! First-time poster (and hopefully buyer) looking for advice...

I'm so so glad I found this forum! I am extremely new to the world of watches, so if something I say is stupid, please just tell me!

 

I'm looking to buy a replica of the new Rolex Milgauss with the Z Blue face (i'm seriously in love with this watch). I've visited the trusted dealer pages, but none of them (understandably) have it listed as I don't think this model has even been released yet.

 

Would any dealers be able to make a decent replica based off photos? Or would it be wiser to wait until the watch has been released and then look for a replica? Any recommendations to specific dealers would be greatly appreciated.

 

Also, I'm wondering whether to get the watch with a sterile dial? I'm in love with the aesthetics of the piece and not necessarily the branding. Any opinions for/against would also be greatly appreciated.

This is quite a new model, so I'm afraid you will have to wait until the rep factories replicate it.

Yeah, the dealers don't make any reps. The dealers buy from factories. The factories make the popular watches.....once they've had the opportunity to get their hands on a the real thing and can reverse engineer it. General guideline is that it takes a 12 months for the factories to make a copy. It might be faster since the dial is the only difference from the previous Milgauss versions, but this won't be available for at last 3-4 months.

Who knows, the Omega Dark Side of the Moon rep is already out (albeit a cheapie), and the gen was only released recently I believe. For sure, if someone releases this blue face version, you'll hear about it on the forum. Much like the Black Bay or PAM Bronzo, these new styles tend to have big pent up demand so it will be news when that demand is answered.

Go to the Trusted Dealer list and send several of them a picture of the watch you want.... then wait for the responses

Hi and welcome, try typing Milgauss in the upper right corner searchbox and read through the threads about it´s positives and negatives.

The blue z is out as well:

http://www.rwg.bz/board/index.php?showtopic=79330 but I can´t say anything about it´s quality. Silix has an extremely cheap section with "not-so-good", but extremely cheap reps (not recommended until You have a lot of experience) and a normal one as the other TD´s. Have a good hunt:)
