Looks great on the leather. Be careful with the rivets on that timepiece republic strap. The heads are screwed into the base which is embedded in between layers of the leather. They can easily come loose and fall out. Worth giving them a twek every now and then to keep them tight.

I normally like bracelets more than straps (apart from on Pams) but on this watch the bracelet does look very plain, the strap improves it a lot.

A decent strap is to a Watch , what alloys are to a Car .. ;)

I think these watches are so wearable on bracelet or leather. Funnily enough I saw a parent at my sons school fete today with a Big Pilot, which looked fantastic! He wasn't very chatty about it but it looked the gen article! Obviously being a a big Pilot it was on leather. But generally I think the 3777 and 3717 look great on both!

Totally agree. Pilot needs leather and rivets. Great transformation.

Sorry, but I'm a fan of the dull steel look of the bracelet, at least with the 3717 and 3777 -- The dial is so stark and industrial that it goes well with a similar look on the bracelet.

Though you do make a good point with the weight; I love the look of Breitling's on a bracelet but I've taken both of mine off the bracelet because its just too much weigh to wear comfortably.

i am sure its my screen but is that leather strap black or dark brown?

Curious as well, why did you not order the leather version in the first place? Reason I ask is i see most people (ok 2 i know) ordering the bracelet ones and subsequently changed to leather.
