bdaniel2 0 Posted June 22, 2014 Hello I am debating between pilot spitfire 3717 baume & mercier or 8688 The iwc is second hand and costs a bit more expensive but the money does not matter Here I do not know what prettier and Better This is The iwc: and that the Baume&Mericer watch: and the Baume&Mercier is new but ceaper. The Baume&Mericer cost: 2800$ and the Sec Hand Iwc cost: 4000$ what do you think should I do?
greg_r 81 Posted June 22, 2014 Both lovely watches, but I'm with gran - I'd go for the IWC personally
bdaniel2 0 Posted June 22, 2014 IWC all the way!!! Can you explain to me why please? I wanted to know what will keep more of the value of the watch The iwc will be a third hand after I buy it
Aks65 0 Posted June 22, 2014 Yep, must agree with both Greg and Gran: IWC would be my choice aswell. Not very fond on the tourby look.

Aks65 0 Posted June 22, 2014 IWC all the way!!! I wanted to know what will keep more of the value of the watch Bro, if that's the question, why didn't you say so? But will not alter the outcome: the IWC imho!
gran 198 Posted June 22, 2014 IWC all the way!!! Can you explain to me why please? I wanted to know what will keep more of the value of the watch The iwc will be a third hand after I buy it IWC is a better watch. It Is more collectible as ther are many more IWC collectors. With proper service it matters little if it is third hand.
millionaire wannabe 1 Posted June 22, 2014 As nice as the B&M. (Whoa! Sounds almost like S&M! Lol) is, and actually a bit classier looking, I'm with the concensus here: IWC. If you're not planning on using the chrono a lot, then the Baume & Mercier would make more sense, you could get a couple really nice extra straps, a new watch box, and still have money left over compared to the cost of the IWC. But in the long run I think the IWC is just a little bit neater.
Irishcain 0 Posted June 23, 2014 I would have to agree about the IWC. Regardless of the number of previous owners, as long as it's kept in good condition, it will depreciate far less in value over time. It's also a much more attractive piece.
kromp 0 Posted June 23, 2014 Iwc all the way. Great looking watch and a stronger following.
HeavyKrush 16 Posted June 23, 2014 Can't really comment on which would be a better investment but I'm curious why you would match these two watches against each other as they seem to be very different watches.

Mike 1108 0 Posted June 24, 2014 If money's not the issue, buy 'em both and I'll pick up the one you don't want on the M2M catch and release. You win, I win. Just a thought. You cant lose here.
