solkryssare 109 Posted October 6, 2014 Well here we go again. Yet another watch I'm obsessing about. Link to a great read and what to watch out for: http://forums.watchu...les-397104.html Any one own one of these? I need one
DR3M3L 4 Posted October 6, 2014 I don't own one myself, no Seiko at all to be honest, but have to admit they are growing on me lately... Might not take long before my first Seiko is incoming! Nice find, I would go for it mate!
markeym3 2 Posted October 6, 2014 I have one like it ,, it's my go to watch when I am on holiday and I go for my walks....
solkryssare 109 Posted October 6, 2014 I could be wrong but I'm thinking vintage and limited Seikos is the new thing to collect while prices are still quite moderate. Seiko is trying to go up market with their GS line and flagship stores. That could sky rocket the vintage market.
Mazz 62 Posted October 6, 2014 More Seikos huh.............. Mahahahaha
solkryssare 109 Posted October 6, 2014 Of course there is an ocean of reps floating around....So one needs to be careful.

Yes I agree , Seiko make some cool watches and some of the older style are very nice, I don't think of Seiko as "vintage" probably because I remember them back in the early 70's but then you think er hang on that's 40+ years ago ,, now I feel old

andyboy 5 Posted October 6, 2014 The cushion case Seiko`s are very nice. I think finding a genuine 6306 will be very difficult. There are alot of the 63 series kicking about but most have been restored in some way or another. 6309 that I done and is now with Elp http://www.rwg.bz/board/index.php?showtopic=84119

andyboy 5 Posted October 6, 2014 Here you go :-) http://www.ebay.co.u...=item1c46c4632a That`s the 6309 and looks like it is an aftermarket dial and hands. the 6306 commands a bit more money, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1978-VINTAGE-SEIKO-DIVER-WATCH-6306-7001-ALL-ORIGINAL-AND-NEVER-POLISHED-/191355325924?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item2c8daa8de4#ht_1228wt_958
Mazz 62 Posted October 6, 2014 Damn that's a lot for not even the rare scuba pro dial. Nice though Costs more than my 62MAS
solkryssare 109 Posted October 6, 2014 All the scubapro's for sale on the bay right now have rep dials
BenjaminButton 149 Posted October 6, 2014 And some are reproduction dials on the wrong case.
Bash64 17 Posted October 15, 2014 I have a 6309 7040 that is slightly modded and gets a lot of wear. All the cushion case Seikos are nice, but it will be tough to find a 6306. They are much rarer.
DR3M3L 4 Posted October 15, 2014 Is this the TOL homage by Seiko?

solkryssare 109 Posted October 20, 2014 I think I've come to the conclusion that while I love the Scubapro dial, I like the 6105 case better. So now you know........
solkryssare 109 Posted October 20, 2014 Is that the dagaz one?
solkryssare 109 Posted October 20, 2014 I like it but I want the original.
mrbobdobalina 0 Posted December 3, 2014 I think I've come to the conclusion that while I love the Scubapro dial, I like the 6105 case better. So now you know........ I am a huge vintage Seiko fan. The 6105's and 6309-704x's are good collectors pieces if you can find one with original dial. Nice examples are getting harder to find and I have seen prices increase quite a bit over the last 2 years.
