yamahar6 0 Posted October 28, 2014 My two favorites are the PAM 029, love that tuxedo dial! My other is the Rolex Explorer II Polar 16570, such a gorgeous watch and I believe the onlysport model rollie with a white dial, correct me if I'm wrong. Hell, I also have and love my Rolex GMT II-C! I never realized but I guess I got a thing for gmt's!
machiavegli 6 Posted October 28, 2014 + 1 for the Rolex Exp II (whether "24 hr" or GMT), either color. Note that several movements are available, some more reliable than others! -Mach

Pesman 9,461 Posted October 29, 2014 Wow! Thanks for the fantastic response and suggestions. Must confess I'm not a Rolex man. Sad thing is that as soon as the PO picture appeared I start drooling! Am very tempted by explorer polar though. Looks lovely but still think it will feel small. I have a DSSD and that's perfect. Thanks again will read these slowly and make a decision. Any mid-price gen thoughts?
Pesman 9,461 Posted October 29, 2014 Here's a shot of the Sinn U2 I mentioned That is nice. Rep or gen?

Any mid-price gen thoughts? If you are after a mid price gen then have a look at the omega seamaster GMT's - some can be had for 1.5k with automatic movements. Or go for a Steinhart GMT which is pretty cheap-ish. There are some really good suggestions on this thread. I have had the gen Polar Explorer II 40mm and even tho it is fixed bezel it will give you the GMT function no problem. I then moved onto the ceramic GMT and now the Pepsi GMT. Something about GMT watches with the extra hand give the watch a nice busy look and is actually a useful function rather then 300 meter water resistant which will hardily get used. KarmaToBurn 1,419 Posted October 29, 2014 Here's a shot of the Sinn U2 I mentioned That is nice. Rep or gen? It's a rep. I just sent a picture to Ryan at InTime and he sourced it for me. I'm sure any other dealer of your choice could find one too. The AR on it is insanely good. I think it was $178 for the high beat 21j.
