Panerista 0 Posted November 9, 2014 Hi all. I have been searching for a Seiko watch for a while now. Keeping my eye open for any auctions on eGay so today I pulled the trigger and don't really konw if I got something special or not. Please help This is what I got: http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-SEIKO-200m-DIVER-039-S-7S26-0020-SKX00x-MOD-RALLY-/371175209158?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2047675.l2557&nma=true&si=51HpMIty8ooZYYkXrVavKeMkT90%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc
Higs 73 Posted November 9, 2014 You've bought an SKX007 with after-market bezel insert and chapter ring (blue). If you like the style, it's a nice enough watch. Everyone should have an SKX007 (or SKX009) at some point. I don't think you've stumbled across "something special" i.e. rare/valuable. The Philippines are full of second hand Seikos with replacement parts.
trailboss99 988 Posted November 9, 2014 The Philippines are also full of fake Seikos so when you get it check the case back against a pic of the real deal or open the case and make sure it's not a chinese 21j with a plastic MVT holder. Gen Seikos use a metal holder and the finish on the MVT is quite good.
GenTLe 1,485 Posted November 9, 2014 Considering these prices (for new and surely gen pieces) I'm not sure you really did good with that purchase: http://www.creationwatches.com/products/blowout-sale-211/index-1-3d.html
Panerista 0 Posted November 10, 2014 I really liked the bezel design and the different day indicator. Never have seen a SKX007 looking like this. I hope it has Seiko MVNT!
