Seiko specialists HELP (what did I buy?)

Hi all. I have been searching for a Seiko watch for a while now. Keeping my eye open for any auctions on eGay :) so today I pulled the trigger and don't really konw if I got something special or not. Please help

You've bought an SKX007 with after-market bezel insert and chapter ring (blue).

If you like the style, it's a nice enough watch. Everyone should have an SKX007 (or SKX009) at some point.

I don't think you've stumbled across "something special" i.e. rare/valuable. The Philippines are full of second hand Seikos with replacement parts.

The Philippines are also full of fake Seikos so when you get it check the case back against a pic of the real deal or open the case and make sure it's not a chinese 21j with a plastic MVT holder. Gen Seikos use a metal holder and the finish on the MVT is quite good.

I really liked the bezel design and the different day indicator. Never have seen a SKX007 looking like this. I hope it has Seiko MVNT!
