mikeran 0 Posted December 30, 2014 Hello all. I am thinking about my next rep already. I'm leaning towards getting a quartz movement mainly because of reliability. I haven't decided on a brand yet, so here's my question. Are there any brands that look extra good that also come with quartz movements? I know the quartz is much cheaper, so I'd like to avoid getting something that looks like crap. I want it to look as amazing as possible, because it will likely get tons of wrist time. Any ideas? Daywatch 4 Posted December 30, 2014 Another vote for the TAG Aquaracer 300m Grande Date as best quartz (I know of for now) good looks, gen-like feel and same movement/function as the gen with spinning 1/10th secs at 6 for 1 minute than 12 hour stopwatch counter - there are other nice ones but either they are unlike gen - or the lume isn´t good or they have a big ticking seconds hand or...... on this one everything matches - and it´s shockproof: At 1/2 the cost You get a Hublot Fusion Chrono from Kuvarsit - no lume at all, no ticking seconds hand at all (subdials are minute counter and 24 hour counter), main second hands sweeps as it´s a microstepper when using the chrono, otherwise it´s stopped at 12, great SS bracelet with full and 1/2 links with screws. I´d recommend to take a look at the Kuvarsit quartz selection anyway, specially if You are going for chronos - look at those with "same caseset as with A7750 movement".
