Very valuable information, thank you very much - just that I should have read it much earlier, so I would have sent you each and every of my A7750s to be serviced in the first place.

I have a Daytona secs@6. The chronograph function ceased the same hour I received it from Solidswiss. Lug@2 is failed to start/stop the chronograph needle. Lug@4 is failed to reset the chronograph and sub-dials@3 and 9 needles. Rather both lugs have become buttons to stop/run the movement. The crown don't work also to wind or to set time. Please tell me what caused these problems and if it's worth the costs to get it fixed.

* It wasn't any case of over testing a new watch. Hardly got time to do much testing and it broke down. Solidswiss refused to take it back for refund or exchange. Nor offered to repair it under their 2 year warranty. They didn't reply my emails.

Sorry about your bad luck. You caused no problems other than buying it. These known issues randomly implode Daytonas with secs@6. Most have initial better luck but they end up having problems sooner or later. Some suggest pre emptive servicing before wearing and others recommend freezing the sub-dial (disconnecting the gears that put strain on the movement). I'd send it to a trusted watch smith with the faint hope that he might be able to sort it out......or recommend a new movement.

(BTW, they are called pushers, not lugs). Best of luck.

Should I service a 7750 as soon as I get one? Or am I supposed to wait?

I've never had a 7750 serviced. Never had a secs at 9 fail either.

Great post mate! i have recently started doing my own mods, mainly WBK subs, with basic DG 2813/2814 movements. When i am fully confident of my capabilities, ill try moving to those movements you mentioned.
