It looks like a standard 6497 inside to me. Certainly not auto from the pics but does it match what you got? I wouldn't bother sending it back, God knows what will happen then. Normally I'd say $178 wasnt bad but noob and H factory are having a crazy blowout.. you could have got alot better for the same money.
