A LOT OF MACRO SHOTS ADDED ON PAGE 2

Hi, cheers from Israel. It's my first review and take a note I may not have the best English around

I wanted to post a short review of this amazing watch,

so the people who still thinking whether to pull the trigger or not could get some help.

Didn't see a normal review on this model so I decided to do so.

So. To the watch.

It just feels good. I've never owned or held the gen, just saw it on the AD window and liked it, so I decided to go for it.

It fits for both casual or dressy appearance IMO.

Let's get to pictures (used my HTC One M7):

The bezel It is not as glossy as the LMPO but it is more glossy than it seems at the pictures. Nice and classic.

Numbers are well placed and centered, so as the markers.

AR coating is too blueish IMO but you would only notice it under the sunlight, it less noticeable indoors.

Still, looks good.

The crown and the HE Escape Valve both look amazing and very gen-like.

Dial printing looks good. Not as crisp as the gen, but definitley more crisp than the pictures, crap macro camera.

The date on the other hand is silver, sticking out and looks great!

(best I could get from this phone: )

Bracelet is nice, easy to adjust and very comfortable!

The Omega engraving on it looks superb, best looking on the market IMO.

Now.. to the icing on the cake - the movement.

2e5oda9.jpg

2rr5fgw.jpg

Yes, it's a low beat movement, but hey - it looks great, reliable and keeps good time!

Also, the gen is 7BPS and this one is 6BPS, so to get this beauty for 1 less beat per second? I guess it worth it.

ANOTHER THING:

Miyota 8215 is known for its stuttering problem. I was confused too about this problem before I went for it,

So I decided to post a 1 minute video with this movement to let people see how it runs.

I don't see any stuttering. You are welcome to check it also, judge yourself:

Next, to the lume, can't ignore the lume ;)

Looks awesome and unified, just it supposed to be. I love it

To sum it up:

It's a awesome and great looking watch for a pretty good price this days.

I love it and I'd definitley recommend it.

Hope you enjoyed the review. Any questions would be answered gladly.

Happy CNY everyone!

I bought the gen of this last year and love the watch, have been tempted to buy this version as use it as a daily watch and keep the gen for best.

They are getting so close now with the replicas unless you have them side by side its would be difficult to tell :)

enjoy wearing it have just put a new strap on my 007 Planet Ocean today

How is the rotor noise on this one?

Great post.

If you took a video if the watch being held vertically I think you will find that it will stutter slightly when the second hand between 12 and 3. I think this is due to the effect of gravity on the indirect drive second hand. When they are nice and flat they look fine.

This is my experience anyway

Thanks for the comments!

How is the rotor noise on this one?

It's pretty quiet, let's say something between 2813 to 2836. You won't hear it if you won't try to.

Can anyone say with any certainty that the reps of these have a ceramic bezel? I have one and really can't tell myself. If I wasn't told it was ceramic I would say it is some sort of polished metal with paint, not ceramic with metallic numbers printed onto it

It'll be great! I would love to see it side by side with close up/macro pictures!

Just saw the 45mm at the AD and I gotta say, the V6F looks pretty good next to it.

Again, the blueish AR is the only easy tell.

Sent you a PM. It's a TD next door and I don't know if I should post it here.

I have this in 42mm. Just got it.

It's excellent. The A8500 is a welcome change from the same old ETA 2800 that powers everything. I will be tearing into this movement and watch to give my review soon too.

Nice watch and review.

I also want this version or the one from Trusty time... but like this the asia version has a more better back case details...the decoration inside is more close to the gen..but Trusty time sells with Swiss Eta 28.8. but it says Luiquit metal , which is not on the Gen.... and the text inside is misspelled...I looked around but all have it.

Any suggestion?

If it says Liquid Metal it's probably the Liquid Metal version, or the Titanium one.

Anyway, the "Swiss" stated watches are not worth the extra money, as we heard around the rep forum, you probably won't get a gen swiss one in it.

Go for an asian 2836/2824 movement or the Miyota.

If you are confused just go ahead to Toro's site, it's more easy to understand as he stated which factory the watch comes from usually.
