CrPO 45.5 Gen vs Rep... lots of pics!!

Recommended Posts

They are both too blue but the Miyota is less blue and far clearer.

Well, now I even more glad I went for the V6F! Best deal on the market right now for those who are looking for CrPO!

It's a BP, you could see it by the fading bezel and the movement.

Great review and comparison! Would love to see sometime a side by side with the V6F model.

Dont think a V6F exists, NOOB,miyota,BP, miyota is the best for this model, but......... BP make the best 42mm pumpkin IMO. They are all good but the miyota is now a serious player in the world of PO

Miyota is the name of the movement that the V6F/KW has in it. V6F/KW is the name of the chinese factory that make those reps (like Noob, BP, etc).

Great comparison, the rep would certainly benefit from clear double ar coating for sure.

Wow fantastic comparison here Greg!

I've always liked the CrPo with orange numerals. I may have to consider getting one :)

My pumpkin, I haven't worn in some time...

Great review and photos! I know how much work goes into these threads, especially taking the photos - it's not a 5-minute job, that's for sure!

The rep looks excellent but that AR has to go. Better with none at all IMO.

The "Seamaster" on the rep dial also seems quite a bit lighter.

Thanks gents.

"20footer" would have to comment on the version Ice.

Thanks Del. Agree, no AR would be better.

Tin, side by side the rep is lighter, but on the wrist with no reference would be hard to spot IMO.

no idea to be honest... it has happy feet, the crown is stripped...but still works like a dream.

Anyway this thread is all about that gorgeous CrPo

Im not 100% on which BP version this is. I picked it up from TT Oct/Nov 2013. As you can see it has some bezel fade but not like the first versions of this model that completely erased after a bit. I have a silver numeral version that was picked up a couple months after this one and seems to have even less fade issues.

Also the AR seems to vary at least among this one and my silver numeral one. You think this one is bad. The silver one AR makes the dial almost appear blue in certain light.

Great comparison! When I received my gen, the two things that stuck out to me were; the AR on the crystal and the finish of the grooves on the HE and crown. Other than that, the rep is very close. Actually it's scary close to the gen. With a clear AR I would say the risk of being called out is next to none!

Great photos! The only thing that bugs me so much about this is the rep on this model has the case back half fluted! The movement has some nice flute. I know you can't replicate the beauty of the 8500 to perfection but you can at least flute the back half of the movement. to meet up to standard. I want the new gmt model but it does that same thing with all the model I've seen, Half case back flute.

Great review thanks so much for the effort.

I recently received a pumpkin BP from M2M and the pearl was missing the clear cover. My CrPO (exact same model as the review watch) had a slightly faded bezel so I ordered a grey and a pumpkin bezel insert from Toro.

I replaced the bezel inserts over the weekend. What fun! Did oi larf!

Anyway, the fact is that the AR on the pumpkin is very blue, same as the review watch but my original CrPO (from TT Nov 13) is much paler.

Yes, I know

:ttiwwop:

I can't take any at the moment, I'm not in the same country as the pumpkin.

I'll try and take some comparison shots at the weekend. It's interesting to see such an obvious variation in the BP AR colour.
