Thinking of Aqua Terra GMT

Recommended Posts

I know these have been out for a while but I have not been around for all that long. I love Omega watches, but I have been having a hard time finding a Rep to love. I am not a fan of the 17 & 18mm thick PO's mostly because I have had watches that are that thick and I just don't care for them. I have sort of been waiting around for the next available LMPO but who knows when that will be available. My understanding is that one is thinner than most PO's (something like 13 or 14mm) which I like.

In the mean time I am thinking about one of these:

I did a search and there doesn't seem to be a lot of love for this one. What are the tells/shortcomings? Wondering if I can live with them

Thanks

I'm looking at both the blue and black face but have been struggling finding much info on the reps also.

Yes, the LMPO is fairly thin. Below is some measurements I took a while back comparing to the noob CrPO. Honestly, both wear nicely on the wrist, I don'tnotice the thickness difference.

Thanks for taking the time to post those. I think I have seen measurements like this before but it is nice to confirm. I have an old Mitutoyo (non digital) calipers that I bought 25 yrs ago when I worked in a machine shop. Still works great. No offense, but I find your calipers dial very difficult to read, especially if trying to read down to thousandths.

Here is what I see on your calipers:

LMPO: .558 in * 25.4mm/in = 14.2mm

CRPO: .634 in * 25.4mm/in = 16.1mm

Here is a pic of my old Mitutoyo & my PAM 111. Easy to read .610in * 25.4mm/in =15.5mm

I have been wearing the PAM 111 now almost every day for a couple months. I like it a lot, but honestly the PAM @ 15.5mm is about the max I can do. I had a Breitling and a couple others that were 16+mm and I just couldn't like them no matter how hard I tried.

No offense taken! I don't like my caliper either (in fact I quite loathe it), but for the once or twice a year I use it, I cannot justify buying a new one. Also, yes, you read it correctly.

Those are beautiful, I really like the black face! I'm looking at picking up something like this too because it's not too thick and has a clean face. It's a shame there's not much information on the reps for these though...

The blue one is heading my way right now (from Perfect Clones) with the blue strap so not a bracelet.

Looking at the picture the straps are not always quality, if the watch is worth it I will replace with a genuine strap.

If it's ok I will post some pictures when received.
