My friend's watch from alikewatches.com

Recommended Posts

My friend bought a replica at this website www.alikewatch.com. I know it looks dodgy and probably you guys don't need to be even alerted about it but just in case, a friend of mine bought a replica Rolex Datejust on www.alikewatches.com and received it. The problem is that it was a really bad replica, it stopped working after a day or 2, the bracelet broke, the glass had stains, etc.

He returned it immediately and asked for a refund. But eventhough the website agreed to refund or fix the problems in the watch, he never heard from them again. Sad story! :(

This probably is the gesture while the seller was telling him "Suuuure, I will replace it!"

Not a TD?

No warning needed for anyone with any brains....

But thanks. Nothing in life is ever wasted. At the very least it can be used a warning to others.

To be frank, these scam websites are sometimes good enough to catch a lot of curious people like you and me. I'm glad I buried my nose in research and joined this forum with people who have done some research for me. Here, everyone has each others' backs vs. out there its truly a gamble. Now I can never see myself trusting a dealer who's not in the TD list :) Best of luck!

Is this like walking into the chemist and saying "My friend has a case of the clap and wants to know it...."

Don't buy watches from non trusted dealers.

Simple, eh?

He's only been here a few days. I'm guessing he didn't even know TDs existed until he signed up after being scammed. Plenty have found this place under similar circumstances.

I'm a bit surprised these scam sites bother mailing anything out at all. It cuts into their profits!
