Birdie 0 Posted January 10, 2017 (edited) Hi, I've recently purchased a Noob 42mm CrPO with orange numbers from a TD. Love the watch, it's great. Although I can't help but feel the numbers are more more red, even red metallic in certain light. Is it just my eyes, or do the reps have a different colour? Or just my watch? Still looks great, but wondering if I can pick up orange numbers and swap them, or maybe even swap for white numbers as it'll look better. I've copied a link to a advert that shows the colour I mean. I didn't buy from them, the first picture is from a gen, the rep is the others. http://jamgua.com/om0085-omega-seamaster-planet-ocean-232-30-46-21-01-003-600m-42mm-noob-1-1-best-edition-ceramic-bezel-orange-marker-on-stainless-steel-bracelet-a-2836.html Just to note I'm no complaining, we all know if you want 1:1 buy gen. I just can't tell if it's me, or if it's due to the watch been in sunlight and they've changed. It might just be now I've noticed it I can't unsee it. Either way I'll keep the watch. Just want a sanity check please as I'm also considering the pumpkin, but if the numbers don't match the bezel I might avoid. Thanks. PhillyRock 0 Posted January 10, 2017 The cheap reps sometimes vary in color and can fade in sunlight considerably. The better the factory and likeness the more money you will dish out. In my experience paying the few extra bucks is always worth it for comparison and detail to the genuine.
purger72 0 Posted January 11, 2017 How much did you pay for that PO ?
anfalas 0 Posted January 11, 2017 I could be wrong but I think you'll find this is normal across the board, seems to depend on the lighting conditions. On my pumpkin the bezel does the same. In daylight the dial numbers and bezel are a nice orange colour but in artificial light they go through various shades of orange, red, copper etc etc. How this compares to gen I've no idea and quite frankly don't care. Jimuc 3 Posted January 11, 2017 I agree with anfalas. The colouring on the PO will vary depending on the quality and cost of the rep. I have one of the better quality omega PO's and the colour matches a genuine omega.
thepretender 0 Posted January 18, 2017 if one of the numbers is wonky (the 1 in my 12 on my PO is a little off) will this be down to poor placement or can it be resolved? its almost not worth the bother - but its the only thing that is noticeable. in an otherwise perfect rep. Birdie 0 Posted February 24, 2017 (edited) Sorry for not posting photos sooner. Life took over for a little while, but back to watches now. The watch was from one of the TD's and listed as the Noob 1:1, I think either it's just that some come up red, darker, or I was unlucky. As looking at other posts on here they do come up orange for some and more gen like. So not really something I can bring up with the dealer and the watch is still lovely, especially for the price. Regarding the wonky 1, mine reflects light differently and it can be fixed if you're comfortable taking the watch apart.
