First Panarai Rep (111) - should it be this green?

Recommended Posts

Timeslice

Hello all. I'm very new to the replica world but have so far gotten a couple of Rolex's, a Breitling and now a Panarai. I love everything about this watch but the lume on the hands and numerals seems terribly green in natural light. Can you take a look at the image (taken in daylight) and share your opinion? I really don't want to go through the hassle of a return but don't want to stick with a watch with an obvious problem. Thanks appreciate any assistance.

Thanks for everyone's quick feedback. Just to clarify...since I got a wide range of opinions... this is not a "lume shot" per se. This was full daylight.

In the dark, I'd agree it looks very normal....fantastic actually...I just worry about its look in bright light.

Everyone still think it looks gen? I have very limited experience with real Panerai.

PS: Got this from perfectwatches.cn. Have had great experiences with them in the past.

I'd have a search on here for pictures of this watch and compare....

....cause on closer inspection it doesn't look like it's glowing (am I right OP?), but that it's very green.

Very helpful, thank you. Yeah, I think this is a bit too far into green. Yours matches other images of real and replica watches I've seen which seems to show a slight "creamy-green" tint. This is more "electric Kermit". Ug.

Thanks to everyone for their help.

Um, perfectwatches.cn is a website that sells watches? Uh-oh....I feel I've stepped on a land mine.

I am not sure either. It does not look like it is glowing it just looks green.

Well, not stepped on a mine, but you'd have been better off going with our trusted dealers.....

....at least you got something! How much was it and what's the movement?

The site he got that from advertises it as an Japanese Miyota (automatic Manual movement) whatever the hell that is.

Yeah, unfortunately I just discovered this website yesterday.Nice to know you have "certified" dealers noted here. Will certainly look at those in the future. Nothing against the people I got it from. I'm sure they'll make good on it based on some other experiences my friends and I have had with them. I just really needed an independent review of people in the "know".

After all the discounts were applied for multiple orders etc, it ended up costing about $175 USD. It uses a Miyoto movement according to their site. If anyone's curious:

Admin Edit: Oh, FFS - let's not improve scammers' Google rankings by linking to 'em!

Thanks again for everyone's input. I've learned a lot today :)

They will most likely take care of you but it won't be a fast process. Long and stressful. ...speaking from my experience before I found RWG
