Ive Got Higs to blame for this one, saw his post after he purchased one and knew I had to ahve it myself! http://www.rwg.bz/board/index.php?showtopic=128505 after looking at the pictures and checking it out online I found a dealer who still had stock in the USA so big thanks to NYCkid for shipping it over from the states for me.

I am no stranger to Seikos or even Seiko divers but almost all my previous seikos have been vintage models and in fact this is the fiorst time I have ever purchased a seiko brand new!

First impressions were WOW! Seriously the finishing on this thing puts a lot of swiss watches to shame I'm not sure if it is becuase this is a slightly higher priced (but still only £399 RRP!) limited edition model or if Seiko have stepped their game up across the board but I am impressed with almost every aspect of this.

This is a big watch at 45mm and has insane wrist presence but at the same time wears much smaller due to the compact and angled lugs and the way the bracelet attaches with the lug angle

The case finishing is totally excellent angles that appear sharp to the eye are actually beautifully rounded off to the touch, no sharp edges anywhere. I tried a gen TAG F1 last year and this spanks it hands down and at a third of the price!

The bezel action is firm and satisfying with no play at all! The click noise is a but tinny compared to some of my other watches but I'd trade that with this solid bezel action any day.

The knurling on the bezel and crown edge is really well done, maybe not quite as detailed as the Tudor HC but really not far off on a watch a tenth of the price is bloody good to me

The dial is totally fucking superb with a lovely blue sunburst I cant get enough of! Also usual Seiko nuclear lume.

So we come to the bracelet. The area Seiko normally falls flat. Well actually its really good! Probably the biggest surprise of the watch, its quite heavy with solid well finished links quality SEL and no SEL gap! A nice touch is that the angles of the edges of the centre kinks are mirror polished adding a touch of class but also protecting them from the inevitable swirl scratch marks that would come on a full polished link. The only let down is the clasp, it is not that its a bad clasp its really not, super firm action and will never come undone unless you want it to.... Its just the slight rattle that bugs me a little bit

Anyhow too much waffle here are some pictures!

They've done a great job with the blues. Ive been toying with getting this or the turtle blue lagoon for a jolt of colour.

Very sweet, congrats. Even the $150 Seiko 5 has very nice finish, always impressed
