Noob Late Introduction

Greetings RWG,

After making a clumsy entry into the forums with random brain burp type posts a proper intro is in order.

I'm not disclosing my name but I'm in the UK, 30 years old and have been into watches since I was 17 when I'd saved up from my first job for a Decent watch. An Omega Seamaster 2254.50 I have since (stupidly) traded in against a big blingier Breitling Colt - Also since sold. I then bought my first Rolex (Rolex Rolex Rolex!!) in early 2011 when I was 24. An absolutely mint GMT Master II 16710 Black from 2006 (D serial no). I still have it, still retain the box +papers and it's still minty minty! I have all 3 bezel inserts and though it's worth considerably more than I paid it's a keeper, my friggin GMTmasterypastery!

It wasn't long until I wanted a second Rolex which turned out to be a 90s TT bluesy Sub 16613, holes case with solid end links - 1 year later traded against a Daytona TT Zenith movt - After several months steamed up, oyster case my arse (too many holes) - Returned + swapped for a 1990 YG Rolex President 18238 with factory champagne diamond dial to cheer myself up. I kept this watch for 3 years and boy did it piss some people off. Finally traded that over a year ago against a minty 97-98 U serial 18k YG Yachtmaster 16628. The ultimate F-OFF wristwatch! My golden child.

So with a few years of my retirement sorted my collection consists of 2 nice pieces, keepers unless things turn really pair-shaped for me. I really want a Patek but, since I'm not really a dresswatch guy and my obnoxious gold needs are met the SS Nautilus is the one alas there's no way I'm paying the sort of money they command. Nor am I paying to service one so I'm on the lookout for a nice rep 5711 on bracelet and possibly some APs.

Cheers!
