fana05 0 Posted April 16, 2014 I would love to start working on movements myself but I have a crazy kitten in the apartment that bounces of the walls at night and would not miss a chance to tear through that
DR3M3L 4 Posted April 16, 2014 Only thing missing is a tagged pic No problem Dingle, would you like your name on the tag too, would that make you proud? Not everything is left for the tagged pic, half of the pieces are back on the main plate already Will update with some pics this evening when I'll try to finish this piece. TheSav 2 Posted April 16, 2014 I rebuild motorbikes for fun but just couldn't bring myself to tear down a watch. Well, I could tear it down but that's as far as it would go.
DR3M3L 4 Posted April 16, 2014 I rebuild motorbikes for fun but just couldn't bring myself to tear down a watch. Well, I could tear it down but that's as far as it would go. Just do it, it's fun I've destroyed just two parts when practising the first time, as soon as I was getting better I was able to repair both and they are now running like new. So I lost 0 on learning and now make money servicing for others, so it turned out to a big win-win situation!
SSTEEL 0 Posted April 16, 2014 Looks a familiar sight there Joran, I too am at this stage with the 77XX series, its the bloody 60 seconds oscillating pinion that I struggle with upon reassembly.
BadPickle 2,738 Posted April 16, 2014 Ah!! It's the old "60 secs oscillating thingsmibob" problem, goes underneath the "whatsit" and next to the "doodah" Yeah right!! :lmao: Good luck J.
DR3M3L 4 Posted April 16, 2014 Takes me a good 20 minutes and 10 attempts before I have the oscillating pinion right...... Most terrible part of the movement, but when assambled you have a beautiful build 7750 in your hands, just love the feeling of assambling the balance wheel and it starts ticking!
