Foxindebox 461 Posted June 29, 2017 Hi Guys, I thought I'd put up a post about my latest project. I bought a cheap 21J 1675 GMT with the intention of making a vintage blueberry. And disassembled. I thought I would try out a little casework and a vintage look relume as well as a bleached blue insert. Here are the results so far... I took the applied indices off the dial and applied some yellowish lume as best as I could... it's not perfect, but I've seen worse! Before. And after. I then set about reshaping the crown guards. I've never taken a file to a case before so it was a bit nerve wracking. After getting the rough shape, I set to it with four different grades of sandpaper. When I get to the watch club I attend on Monday, I will drill the lug holes to accept gen-spec springbars and polish it up. Well, I'm no NCRich but I'm pleased with my efforts so far. I will update as and when I do some more work on it. I'm waiting for the inserts and a sexy all-red GMT hand to arrive :) *Update* Ok Guys, we are getting closer :) I've put three coats of Matt varnish on the dial and relumed the hands. I'm going to finish the casework tonight and hopefully get it all put together. I also got impatient waiting for the all red GMT hand to arrive, so I painted the original with some acrylic model paint. More pics later! *Update #2* OK, so it's all cased up now! I'm really pleased with the way it came out. I'll do a proper photoshoot later, but for now... *Final Update* A few more pictures for your delectation :)

ElvisFreak 73 Posted July 4, 2017 please, help me out guys.. in the first photos, the dial appears to have painted/printed markers, not applied? Even when I look at real sharp macros of a rep 1675 dial, I dont see the markers being applied...
Foxindebox 461 Posted July 4, 2017 If you look at the 4th picture down, you can see the holes left by the applied markers after I removed them. cracking job that bud Cheers mate, much appreciated :)
