Unboxing my new IWC 5007

Recommended Posts

Casawelli1

Hi all,

my new toy arrived this morning. Ultra smooth communication with Miffy/Chris from TSWATCH, with impressive fast delivery (transshipping via UK to Germany from China) within 10 days after my QC acceptance.

It arrived like this:

Well protected as you see...

To my great surprise, TSW included a small watchbox with a zipper and a cleaning pad as little extras ! That's customer service, I LIKE!

But enough box and packing, lets move on to the watch:

I wanted to have a watch with a white dial this time, as a classic dress watch. And after the great reviews here about the new ZF IWC's, I picked the 5007 one with the blue hands on a dark blue strap.

The power reserve was fully loaded quite fast within maybe twenty turns and I am curious to see, how many days it will keep on going now.

The strap is as usual "just ok", a little short for my large wrist, but I will change to another one very soon anyway to give that classical timepiece a quality strap what it deserves, as the overall quality perception is incredibly good. The watch ticks with very little noise, the AR will do it for my eyes, so I am already in love with that watch and it will get a lost of wristtime from now on.

Nice to see the enthusiasm in posts like these. I haven't used this TD but it looks like they offer good service.

The IWC is a great choice & will lift to the next level with a quality strap.

Enjoy it.

Thanks and I will (enjoy).

It's my 3rd order with them and my brother in law used them several times as well. Not a single issue so far. Reason to pick them was very clear guidance in triangle shipping via UK to avoid the f.XXX ...german customs and I got tracking numbers for both lags and could follow it all the time.Had 8 Emails along the order, as they kept me informed on any progress. Prices and watches are the same everywhere anyway and I got a 10% discount on the full price with WU transfer. What else can you expect?

Ha! Probably envy! Although Wimpie has got me looking closely now...If I were being hyper critical perhaps the '1' is slightly misaligned??? :dunno:

You crazy watchnerds! Why do to bring my attention on it? Indeed, if I would be hyper critical, you might be right, but...I am not :death star:

HA! I know sometimes the level of macro nit-picking is horrendous, don't worry I have watches with far more telling flaws than that! Doesn't bother me either, if anyone were to approach my wrist with a magnifying glass, compass or ruler I would put my foot straight up em'! :thumbsup2:

Thanks Mate, that gives me a little relievehead%20bash.gif

I'm thinking I'm going to get the grey dial. Not sure yet, might have to get a RG Big Pilot first ;)

Was considering the grey one as well as it looks very good with a dark brown strap, but I wanted to stick on my plan to get a white dial watch first as I have plenty of white and blueish shirts for my job, so that matches very nicely.

Man, those new IWCs are nice. Enjoy.

On another note, I use that humping stormtrooper as my avatar on another forum (it was my original one here too) and every time I see one of your posts now, I keep thinking it was something I posted. It's confusing for a second before I realise it's not me anymore.
