Changing the leather watch straps

Recommended Posts

lef808

Hi all,

Just got my new Calatrava 5227 and needed to look into my options when it comes to swapping out the straps to a better quality.

I noticed the existing straps that come with the watch have built-in pins that attach to the lugs. When I say built-in I mean they are imbedded into the leather straps and do not look like they are removable (unless I am mistaken).

Does that mean when I buy new leather straps (E.g. the RIOS 1931), I need to buy lug attachment pins with them?

Thanks in advance!

Best,

L

Yes, basically it does, unless you want to start cutting holes into your brand new strap, you'll need to get new springbars!!

Thanks! Standard 19mm pins? Do you get them on Ebay?
