addibegi 0 Posted March 31, 2017 Hi Sorry if this quesition has been already posted, but I'm a noobie and french (so I've to apologize twice) What are the main differences between a calibre 16 and 1887? Cause I'im interested in by this one : http://www.kuvarsitwatch.co/tag-heuer/carrera/1-1-tag-heuer-carrera-calibre-1887-ss-brown-dial-a7750..-from-v6/ and also by this : http://www.ttw-138.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=41_210&products_id=15099 But, except the Day window, and the log Tagheur above, they seem identical (same size, thickness, butons, subdials) Anyone can help me? These are the movements in the REAL Tag, but you don't have to worry too much about that in the reps!
addibegi 0 Posted March 31, 2017 So i well understand : same look, same case, only the internal movement change. So for reps, the both watches are exactely the same and works with the asian 7750 Valjoux? Am I rigth

Am I rigth No. On the gen one (16) is an ETA/Valjoux 7750 (cam chronograph), the other (1887) is a Seiko movement (column wheel chronograph). The 2nd is more valuable being a column wheel. In the rep: one has the same 7750 as the gen and, at most, the difference is in the blued screws used in the Chinese version. The other has again a 7750 with a fake plate on top, to mimic the aspect of the Seiko. I got the 1887 because I like a bit more the cleaner dial, but if you want the most "gen-like" one, go for the 16.
