Advice on deployment clasp for Ebel 1911 BTR

Recommended Posts

Hi all

I have recently sourced the gen croc strap for my Ebel 1911 BTR.

I am trying to find a clasp that will be appropriate for it. As you may know these watches are long out of production with the TD's and a gen clasp on ebay is north of £150!

See pics below; I currently have it mated to a breitling clasp, which is the right type as bottom end of strap folds into the clasp and the top end attaches via a 20mm springbar. However unlike a breitling strap the top end is not long enough on this strap and so the (comparatively) wide breitling clasp is digging into my wrist.

I have considered a Cartier style clasp which uses the same folding method to attach the strap to the clasp but again I think one end of my strap is too short.

Don't really want to use a normal tang buckle or push type deployment as that will require making a hole in the strap.

Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated.
