pthurst 1 Posted January 27, 2017 Hi All, Just got hold of this (rather expensive) book from Amazon and thought I'd share a few of my initial flick-through thoughts and opinions. So far this is the book that I really wish I'd been able to read when I was just getting into this hobby. Louis Nardin's approach to collecting and commenting on watches is honest, inspirational and entertaining which makes this book very easy to read and hard to put down. We all know how complex the world of watchmaking and collecting can be but this book does a great job of simplifying things for anyone new to the hobby. I've made a review video for my (largely watch based) YouTube channel so feel free to have a look below should you so wish. As an aside, Louis is pretty scathing and unsympathetic when it comes to the fakes... They fund organised crime and it's as simple as that... I'll leave that discussion for another day (and another forum post) in the meantime this is a very interesting book for us collectors ideal for any library.
