RegalVictory 0 Posted June 28, 2017 Maybe a stupid question but I've always been wary of placing orders directly though TD's websites without speaking to them first. Looking to buy a hublot through Trusty time, but haven't heard from from him on here (in no way a reflection upon him as a dealer and not intended to do so!). Am I ok to go ahead and order directly through his site? Apologies if this isn't appropriate and it's not supposed to be a a put down to Trusty. Cheers
solkryssare 109 Posted June 28, 2017 You are good to go. I've never spoken with a dealer prior to ordering. If you've done your home work and don't have any questions, there is no point in bothering the dealer. A dealer not being online here, says very little about the status of his business
Thommo82 1,397 Posted June 28, 2017 Ordered twice from Andrew (trusty time) without prior communication No issues at all
RegalVictory 0 Posted June 28, 2017 Thanks for the reply solkryssare - great to know, have done my research and had no questions about the watch itself more around shipping but it's no problem. cheers
Nickfive 4 Posted June 28, 2017 I've lost count of how many times people have messaged me saying they've ordered a watch and then the TD will say its out of stock. So although it's not a necessity, I'd almost always recommend contacting the TD before placing an order, you'll find they're pretty fast at getting back to you ;)
purger72 0 Posted June 28, 2017 Nick is right. At the beginning I would just make a purchase but once watch was out of stock. Since I shoot Andrew an email just to confirm if watch is in the stock and than go ahead with purchase. It saves time and money ;)
GenTLe 1,485 Posted June 28, 2017 Also, be SURE that you're ordering from the correct site (see here: http://www.rwg.bz/board/index.php?showtopic=60 ) as there are many sites which are similar to the TD ones but are scammers...

RUSH2112 11 Posted June 29, 2017 I've never ordered a watch without asking it it was available. I've never sent funds and been told "sorry friend, out of stock please select another."

mysterio 18 Posted June 29, 2017 me too several times :( I try not use these dealers now as a lie is a lie ! Technically it's not a lie. A watch may have been available at the time of asking but once you've actually ordered it, the watch may have been bought already by another buyer (especially if the watch is in demand or has long been out of production). It's not common and does not hold true for each and every time a dealer tells you this but it happens.
