Help Simey buy a watch, his head is turned :)

Hi Guys,

Been mulling over getting a new watch, and as usual I keep bouncing from one to another :bounce:

This is where I am at, and it will probably give you an idea of what I am after. Typical dive watch, it seems.... Any other brands I should be looking at? I would like to be somewhere around £5-700, but could push 1K if it was the "right" watch..... Don't mind new, but seconds hand would save a few quid!

Love me a GMT hand, and a date also :D

So far I like....

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh, you get the idea :)

Cheers

I wish I'd have snapped Del's up that he had for sale not so long ago. I'm on the hunt too

Or this:

I hear you say: "Quartz,meh...", but read about it a little, it's very fascinating. More than a generic ETA anyway..

There ya go:

I am tempted to go "fuck it" and go for the MM300, always wanted one, but fear it may be too big/heavy!

Oris, I had the CW and it is beautiful but sits very awkward on the wrist, or it did on me

No,it's actually very well proportioned, due to lack of lugs. Read about it on WUS, plenty of threads there. Works well for chicken wristed individuals too :D

From that list I'd choose the CW but on a bracelet not the leather strap..

But I already have the Steinhart OVGMT and was wearing it yesterday actually

Oris, all day long. A proper Swiss brand with heritage and the best looking of the choices provided.

Don't like that too much tbh :)

Can't go wrong with Oris but I would suggest choosing a more interesting colour combo than the plain black.

Quality wise they are superb!
