Video / Pics - Black AP Royal Oak 15202 Quartz

Excellent purchase!

Bought from SEAD, TD over at another forum.

Less than $140 for this beautiful piece that keeps perfect time. Most of the pics I've seen of this piece look flat and boring. I tried my best to capture the detail.

Everything looks fantastic, feels like a million bucks on the wrist. The bracelet catches light in ways that amaze me every time. Watch the short video to see how dynamic the dial is.

I have the blue one. Its a really nice watch, very comfortable. Quartz movent assures a extremely slight profile, and taking into account that there is no second hand I think this is the way the factories should build models like that one and PP Nautilus 3700

In Beijing right now - bought three ladies versions of this watch earlier today - paid about half of this price and could have paid less if I had more time to haggle.

I agree Canovas, I'm dying for a quartz Nautilus 3700 (as pictured in my avatar)

Thanks for the pics, have been looking at this often already and it does look really fine. No ticking secs is the big bonus.

Ofcourse this replica has its faults, but I only paid 150$ and is one of the best Quality/Price ratio watch of my collection.

It is quite funny. At the Watch Time magazine there was an analisys about this AP 15202.

The conclusion of the article was that the biggest flaws were : the price (22500$), the accuracy (it is not very good because of the extra thin movement) and that the watch has not the fast date change option.

The replica is cheap, the accuracy is amazing thaks to the miyota quartz movement ant it also has the fast date change mechanism jajajajajajaja. :lmao:

Sorry it is only a jocke.

I have a pdf copy of the article. If you want it send me a PM with your email.

I want to add, since I didn't really "review" this watch in my original post that it really is surprisingly high quality. I love that it keeps perfect time, and the movement actually feels amazingly solid when changing the time or date. No play in the hands whatsoever and the date clicks into place with confidence.

I haven't had any issues with the clasp, it stays secure and feels solid.

I WILL need to dry lube the bracelet just because all reps seem to need this.

Just a great, great piece. I've already received more compliments than any other watch I've owned.

You can really tell what watch it is from a distance, something I value in watch designs. The "Big Picture". The fluted datejust with jubilee is like this. Just so iconic.

I've read that article too.

Now, there's a new one of that same magazine , if I remember right, putting her in first place as a remarkable design icon as it's even thinner than the "original" RO.

Besides, it's on my list and will be one of the first two purchases next year.

Thanks for the video OP!

Hello,

It is from Sead (Supermirrors) a TD on RWI. He has no website all transactions done by e-mail only. I think he is on the Geek too.

I have been really tempted by this one, just have not worn a quartz watch in quite a while for more than a few minutes. My watchmaker has a big conspiracy theory about quartz watches, but he is really really old school. But I fear his wrath if he heard I bought a quartz lol.

I have the blue one since December and the white one I received yesterday. Unfortunately they changed both the watch and the bracelet, and change is not always for the better.

The watch is a bit lighter and the bracelet a bit more stiff. Overall a bit more shiny, those who like bling will be happy. To me AP should always be a bit understated and I feel the blue one is awesome, classy, mat.
