V7 Hulk&N-date,JF YM V1, SD v2!!!!

Recommended Posts

I don't really know what happened I thought I will get 1 rolex for the collection and now I have 4!

I have the latest and greatest V7 Hulk and no date fresh in, my JF V1 blue dial YM, or I think it is the V1 not sure, and my V2 Noob sea dweller with matt dial conversion and V6s clasp so I though I would share a few pictures.

The old V6s clasp compared to the new V7 and 2016 polished inner, both decent but when it came the one in the hulk the holding pin in the clasp wouldn't catch, even though it had been bent by the assembler so it fell to bits, I fitted a thinner one (right fuck on actually) and it is sound now.

A close up of all the dials and bezels, what cant be seen is the finer points like the bezel is not quite as sharp as the old V6 /5.1 I had and the movement on them is decent, nice and tight with little play. lume is even and matched on the hands and dial, and the movements wind and adjust easy on all 3 noob, the JF came and immediately needed a service and keyless work, something the TD's should check in my opinion!

Also the DWO doesn't seem as Blue as my old V6/5.1 but it might be the green background making it stand out less?

I don't obsess on SEL as it is not something that bothers me, but the SEL on the V7's is awful, wobbly, different heights, and has a slight gap, Ive seen cheaper subs that are not as bad, this is deliberate so you buy the V8 no doubt! If your area of concern is SEL ( mine is the old white paint bezels ) DO NOT buy the V7 you will hate it.

Also when I was adjusting the No date clasp this odd thing fell out, I honestly don't know what it is or where it goes, even if it is off this watch!

If I can help with basic requests then feel free to get in touch..........................I'm now pondering if I keep the SD or No date, or keep both!

I prefer the way the no date sits on the wrist but I also love the quality of the sea dweller......the matt dial was done by Kenny

Nice watches

Getting a bit OCD looking at all the crowns touching the cases though ..........

Haha, I was gentle putting them close together! It was so I could fit them in the photos easier, think I'm going to let the no date go, the sea dweller although thicker seems to have an edge in quality, although this is hard to quantify

Sad...... but that was my first thought..... all those crowns and cases touching Lagger... move them apart, move them apart :)

Almost as stressful as watches photographed on rocks and rough hard surfaces.......

Regards the watches - another case of one is never enough.....

Thanks for the great write up!

Also the "thing" that fell out is from the glide lock mechanism.

It's part 39'. There's one of them on each side, so that the sliding can happen in no.18 :P

It does look like an intercepted message now you say it!

If you can get the dial done in Matt, it's hard to see in pics but in real life it transforms the watch, and looks much better than the gloss........although either way it's a great rep the sea dweller
