Tag Heuer Aquaracer Grande Date From Aootime(Robbie)

Recommended Posts

ovaltinemilo

This is my 2nd post and is my 4th Rep from Aootime(Robbie). As per previous, delivery was fast(less than a week), communication was good, watch arrived great without issue.

This time round, I took Robbie's advice(yet again) to go for the higher quality "Swiss Quality" Rep. I must say that I am very please with the quality at this price. As compared to the previous Tag Heuer F1 Chronograph, which looked great, but feels cheap. This "Swiss Quality" rep looks great and feels great as well...Those that I could confidently remove and pass to any friends who is interested to take a closer look!

Anyway, below are the photos.

New phrase for me. "Swiss Quality". Does that mean Swiss inside or. Is it another way of saying Clone?

Lol..sorry for my amateurish choice of words.. That was what Aootime used on their website..haha..

Anyway it should mean Swiss quartz Caliber Ronda 5040B, which should be more accurate than the usual jap quartz. But still, any quartz are accurate enough...

Hi draggnation, the damage was 268, which I previously topped up a little amount more to buy 2-3 watches..haha.. I think it's worth it.

268 for a quartz is a bit high IMO but that's one good looking rep

The Gen is quartz and list price is $2,000+

$268 seems a steal by comparison. :thumbsup2:

Really nice watch mate, and looking at the reviews - one of the best quartz rep's out there, think I may need to get one to see :)

The craftsmanship on these Aquaracers is top notch, the lume is good unlike the cheaper quartz. 1/10 seconds sweeping seconds at six and 12 hour counter (main chrono seconds tick as does the small counter at 3). The chrono is really usable for chronographing wihout any fear of breaking it. Very hefty and solid watch, high quality rep as even the movement is the same as gen:) O-rings on the chronopushers and screw-in crown with o-ring. It´s the perfect, shockproof Golf and Trap watch. Congrats and wear it well, these are long-lasting and reliable reps.

What about the AR? It's good enought? You tested the WR?

Looking to source one of the these, it seems pretty well made.

Considering their both made not only in China, but in the same city, with the same tooling, in the same factory... It's indeed a steal.

Gen is Quartz and purposedly so. Quartz and Chrono go hand in hand IMO.

Well, its 2016 and I was looking at this at Aootime too. Love your pics, it really shows are well made it is.

How is the watch working out for you so far? Considering it is a quartz, does changing the battery (i.e., opening the watch) cause any instability in the movement? Aootime says it is Ronda, can you confirm?

Thanks very much, love to hear how you've enjoyed it.
